Kindness Is A Choice
Episode 8: The Kindness Crew
In this episode, I share the beautiful and brave story of my daughters, Mia and Zali, and how they turned heartbreak into hope and connection after the loss of their sister, Rylee to suicide because of bullying.
In the raw aftermath of losing Rylee, the girls chose to respond with courage, creativity, and compassion. I share the tender yet powerful story of how The Kindness Crew came to life — not just as a business, but as a movement rooted in grief, love, and a fierce desire to make the world a gentler place for their souls to reside. What they ended up achieving had a much wider ripple effect than any of us could've anticipated.
I speak about what it meant for them to channel their pain into purpose, the behind-the-scenes of building something as kids navigating unimaginable loss and trauma and the lessons we’ve all learned about the kind of resilience we can foster by simply choosing kindness.
It's a reminder that kindness IS a choice - not always an easy one, but definitely an important, valuable and potentially life saving one!
This episode is about more than a business — it’s about what happens when we (even kids) lead with purpose, when grief becomes action, and when kindness becomes a legacy. If you’ve ever wondered how to turn pain into something meaningful, this one will touch you deeply.
